"I felt the safest I've ever felt in the eight years that he has been in office." - Thank you for saying that. I have to agree.
The original post was very thoughtful and generous, considering what the media has told Americans
to think about this president. I too will wonder how safe I am under the leadership of our next president. Although President G.W. Bush certainly wasn't perfect, I hope history does justice to what he has accomplished.
It seems at this time that Mr. Obama's primary goals are to undo
what Bush has done. If abolishing all that is "old" is the "newest" thing he can come up with I fear that all the voters who wanted "change" will be sorely disappointed.
I can't help but wonder what is going to become of the members of this community. Will you create a new community or support an existing community? I hope it is ok to mention that the small, but relatively drama free community, Conservacorner
would welcome all of you. Our intention over these next four years is to make the new Obama administration accountable for what they do: with our country, with our tax dollars, with the world. Four years under an administration which engenders suspicion and fear rather than confidence can seem like an eternity. I hope you will join us as we stand together looking toward the future. I, for one, hope this new president is not
all that his record and rhetoric has shown he will be. :(
Once again, job well done to this community. :)
